Paper Review Topics - Thinking About What You Want
If you are an Econ prof looking for something that can be used as a framework for writing an Econ paper then think about making paper review topics. If you have been employed in the banking industry, you will know how often these papers are prepared. It is often the case that research and even analysis of paper topics are involved. The papers are often a summary of all the work done by others and even sometimes the final copy of the report.
Paper topics must have some definite purpose. To find out what the purpose of a paper topic is, you need to have an idea of how you want to spend your time. Do you want to spend time on long drawn out analysis, or do you want to find a practical application for the material you have? I would suggest that you spend most of your time, if not all of it, thinking about how to use the material you read. The reason is that if you understand the data you will be much better able to analyse it.
